The Yoga of the Heart :: Cultivating Fierce Compassion

Karuna, or compassion, is one of the key qualities that unlock the doorway to the heart offered by PataƱjali in the Yoga Sutras. Yogic compassion is fiercely courageous, upholds self and others in their pure goodness and challenges them to remain seated in that truth. Before extending compassion to others we must learn to practice it towards ourselves. This requires deep introspection and a willingness to pierce through the darkness to expose the light.

In this workshop we will learn about the key quality of compassion according to Yoga philosophy and practice a sequence that unblocks the channels dividing the body and the brain, and the mind and the heart.
